We built the scalp studio
we could not find.

Over seven years of scalp care, we looked after more than 3,000 clients. Along the way we saw studios chase quick sales over real care, and we wanted to work differently.

So we visited scalp studios across Korea, kept what worked and fixed what didn’t. Scalpit is the result: scalp care, hair loss care and head spa under one roof in Apgujeong Rodeo.

We hope you leave knowing your scalp, and rested in body and mind.

Jo Min-young, director of Scalpit Head Spa Gangnam

Who looks after your scalp

Scalpit is led by Jo Min-young, who has spent seven years in scalp care and worked with more than 3,000 clients. Before opening Scalpit she ran three scalp studios in Seoul — in Gangnam, Yeoksam and Seolleung — and worked as a scalp specialist before that.

The work is taught as well as practised. She is Education Director at the Korea Scalp and Hair Loss Association, an instructor on Korea’s national scalp care training program, and a former lecturer in scalp and hair loss care at Hanyoung University.

Her qualifications include Korea’s national license in skin and scalp care, the national beauty license, and specialist training for problem scalp conditions. This is scalp care training, not medical training: Scalpit looks after the scalp, and sends you to a doctor when that is what you need.

It is why every visit begins with an image of your scalp, and why one therapist stays with you from the first step to the last.

The Scalpit Method

Three steps shape every visit, whichever course you choose.

See

Before any care, we check flaking, oil, heat and circulation under a scope, and walk you through the image on screen.

Plan

We match the course, products and pressure to what we find. The same course can look different from one scalp to the next.

Compare

At the end, a second image sits beside the first. We explain what changed today and how to care for your scalp at home.

Gentle by principle

We use mild, low-irritation formulas only, and we would rather do less than put your scalp at risk.

After a color or perm, we recommend waiting three to five days so your scalp can settle. If we see an infection or broken skin, we stop and suggest seeing a doctor first.

If it isn’t good for your scalp, we don’t do it.

Inside Scalpit

Rest for the scalp,
and for the mind.

A long day gathers at the crown of the head and along the back of the neck. We ease it out slowly, with warm hands, steam and aroma, until your thoughts slow and your breathing follows. You step back out onto the street lighter than you came in.

We opened in July 2026 with one idea for the space. Care should feel private from the moment you arrive, so every room is private and booked in advance.
